As health coaches, and Andrea a personal trainer, we want to share what we’re learning, reading, and implementing into our lives with you in hopes that any piece of information we share, can help with your self-discovery and growth. If something we share doesn’t feel true to you, disregard it. If you don’t like a tip we offer, don’t use it. Take and use information we provide that uplifts you and speaks to what is true to you and the vision of your life. Meet Gold Ivy Health Co.
Hello! I am Andrea. I am a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and Certified Personal Trainer. I’m obsessed with bettering myself and building relationships with people. I am a wife, mom of an 8, 5, and 3-year-old, a running enthusiast, and a life-long learner. I know how hard it is to juggle kids, work, fun, and my passions and I love helping other people prioritize themselves and come up with a day/week/month that creates time for all of it.
I’ve been in the wellness industry for over 10 years now and LOVE being a health coach. My wellness philosophy is to simplify the research (making sure to read it first though) and apply the basics of whole foods, movement, and mindfulness into daily life.
With Gold Ivy, my personal mission is to move people to take action in a way they never have before. It’s magical when someone realizes their worth and makes moves to light their world on fire. Balancing it all is a constant challenge and I love helping people create the energy and momentum to make it easier.
Hey there! My name is Brooke and I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach, dedicated to simplifying health and wellness. If you couldn’t tell by the last name, Andrea and I are related- she is married to my cousin. We are not related by blood, however the universe knew we needed to be family. We are 10 years apart, yet continually learning from each other and empowering the other to keep evolving. We both grew up in less than ideal circumstances, and have made it a priority to continue to grow and better ourselves. We’ve come to learn that like ivy, we grow in hard places and can’t be tamed.
Throughout life, I’ve learned there is always a message in the mess and that it is my purpose to use my ivy to help others discover their gold. In battling my own health challenges, I know firsthand the resilience and support required to learn how to listen to your body to give it what it needs to thrive. As the result of my chronic illness, I’ve spent the last 5 years invested in simplifying the health and wellness space not only for me, but for anyone struggling to find answers, peace and a higher version of themselves.
I believe in the power of the mind-body connection and the importance of taking a whole-person approach when it comes to conquering your goals. I am passionate about helping growth-minded individuals uplevel their lives, specifically through movement, mental and gut health. One of life’s greatest challenges is finding balance and I believe through intuitive work and intentional living, it can be found. It is my mission to inform and inspire you to uncover what works best for you, helping you ignite your inner fire and find your gold.
Andrea – Right now, I’m challenging myself to get up 5 days/week at 5am. It’s something I started at the beginning of 2020, but it’s still a struggle most of the time. I’m naturally or should I say my habits have always been to be productive or have “me time” at night. I think I’m learning that you are not naturally a morning or night person, as much as you’d like to keep that as part of your identity for convenience. You can flip it. And as a mom with really young kids, the only time of day that I know FOR SURE I have for myself is from 5am-6am. If I’m lucky it turns into 5am-7am but most of the time I can count on 5-6.
I like to think of it as starting my day as fully myself. Nobody is asking anything of me at 5am. I can center myself in my faith, my feelings, my goals for that day or week, absorb any information I want to learn about, fuel up my body with a nutritious breakfast and HOT coffee, and get in an uninterrupted workout. I am fueled with inspiration, centered in my mission for the day, and am full of energy before I see my kiddos or hear those cute little voices. It’s been life changing and I am determined to make this a habit 5 days/week.
Brooke – And I’m challenging myself right now to slow down. I am making it a priority to meditate at least 10 minutes once a day, if not twice (10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes before bed). I am working on quieting the noise and decluttering my mind, so I can hear my truth. Insight Timer has been a gift for me during this crazy quarantine time and it’s FREE. The app allows me to pick the amount of time I want to meditate for, the type of meditation (i.e. a body scan), and has thousands of different guided meditations to choose from. Thanks to Insight Timer, I actually look forward to waking up early and starting my day slowly and intentionally.
